ISTANBUL ROAD JUNCTİONS GENERAL İNFRASTRUCTURE WORK BÜYÜKÇEKMECE E-5 ROAD VEHICLE UNDERPASS CONSTRUCTION |

This project is with total length of 350 meters and includes 100meters length of closed section tunnel. This E5 Underpass Project which is under sea and ground water level is a specific sample of how to do construction work inside water. Firstly, to avoid adjacent building and E5 road to be affected from underpass construction piled shoring and retaining wall construction have been done. Closed section slab has been constructed on site gradually by diverting the traffic with in-situ slab system. After completion of these works, excavation works have been done by doing ground improvements partially in order to allow construction machines to work. Leaked water from lateral shoring and piles has been discharged and water isolation bottom shell of the “U” section Shell has been prepared. After water discharge, application of the reinforced concrete section with a weight to provide it carry itself and by this way “U” Shell section of the underpass which is under sea and ground water level has been constructed by floating. |
